Maišiagalos užtvanka

I love water and man made water bodies are fascinating, mostly for their engineering choices. This one, though not unique to Lithuania, is a beautiful one. I like it that you could get to the “waterfall” part easily, the railings were in place, I felt absolutely safe. The reservoir itself is beautiful and should be a nice place for recreational activities - walking, swimming, or fishing. Of course, the shores could be more kept up. However, the setting is amazing - from all sides of the reservoir you can get very nice views to the large hill fort nearby. Again, didn’t expect much, but thoroughly enjoyed it. Do walk around if in in town - not the worst place out there!
