2 out of 3 staff we interacted with were good, but 1 out of 3 people we interacted were RUDE or UNPROFESSIONAL or really bad with interacting with patients, BAD ENOUGH to DERAIL and SPOIL the whole experience of childbirth. An IMPATIENT and GRUMPY MIDWIFE was taking the decision and calling the shots , pulling the baby out or EARLY CLAMPING of the umbilical cord despite us insisting to wait and also despite what established medical research recommends. UMBLICAL CORD MILKING was NOT DONE. This is contrary to what this hospital advertises itself to be doing when you have an initial trip to the hospital. The midwife was more like a processor of meat in a meat factory.(pull, cut, wash, weight, measure and disappear possibly to the next delivery). The midwife was passing on her GUT-BASED 'opinion/diagnosis' on the delivery and of the baby, things which neonatologists or gynecologists are qualified for. The neonatologist 'opinion/diagnosis' was in direct contradiction to the midwife's 'opinion/diagnosis'.A doctor who was supposed to monitor our baby claimed she was already tired and DIDNT HAVE PATIENCE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS, may be signs of overwork(it is common I guess). Lack of transparency of procedures and VERY BAD COMMUNICATION, not ready to share information when asked, keeping patients in the blind are some things I came across in less than a day. I requested for the name of the 'Midwife' and I was not given the name, I observed a protective behaviour amongst other staff to shield such behaviour(you protect me and I protect you attitude) helping such things to continue to thrive.Beware of grumpy nurses, just be lucky enough to NOT have triggered them or else you are at their mercy because there is no straight process in place to report such behaviour. Be willing to lose the best moments, best decisions, trust and child's health. A disaster waiting to happen for mothers if you do not have loads of patience or not ready to compromise on health and childbirth experience after going through the whole demanding process of childbirth.

Remarkable and cherished memories from 1971 (being a child, cured here) to time when two our boys were born here. The facilities have changed beyond recognition, just the frame remain the same. But the most important here: doctors, their professionalism and be in good hands.

Personalas ir priežiūra geri, bet jau lovos/lovų čiūžiniai siaubingi! :( nėščiosioms dažniausiai ir taip sunku miegoti, nepatogu.. bet su tokiom lovom abi naktys buvo bemiegės…

Our daughter was born here about a month ago. Initially I was worried, since the buildings are quite old and in need of serious remodeling. However, the doctors and nurses were EXCELLENT, caring, kind and very professional. Sure, the rooms need painting, but what's needed is available. I've always been skeptical about public hospitals, choosing private when available. But, this placed kind of restored my faith in the public health care system. Thanks to all the staff!
